From the classifieds: This Bar Crusher 670HT is loaded

A proven fish raiser is for sale from one of the marine industry’s marketing gurus. Yep, it’s loaded…

"It’s a tough decision to sell your pride and joy, especially when you’ve created so many memories in it," says Ben Sandman from his eponymous PR and marketing company that promotes Bar Crusher, Garmin and, previously, Honda outboards.

But a lament of almost equal proportions is the reason our fishing/boating industry mate is selling his beloved boat.

Poor Sandman will be quite a while longer in recovery due to torn tendons from an at-sea injury.

He actually can't wind a reel right now, so he’s figured he’ll sell his hot fishing boat and build a new one in due course.

Naturally, the 2015-model Bar Crusher 670HT is absolutely loaded with all the latest gear.

It’s decked out with enough Garmin goodies to [almost] sink a ship and, moreover, find fish in the abyss.

Offshore from the NSW Central Coast, the boat’s proven itself as a serious fishing weapon with a perfect record of raising marlin every trip.

The marlin tag bag includes a few big blues over 250kg last summer.

As seasoned professional game-boat skippers will tell you: "Some boats just raise fish."

A harmonious hull and engine combination is the most common belief as to why a particular boat consistently raises more fish than the next.

But our mate reckons it’s also his Sandman’s ‘Marlin Mix’ playlist that brings the big fish into the spread! From Daft Punk to Nirvana, there’s something about this rig that really fires-up fish, he says.

"Big seas and big fish, this boat’s capable of it all and handles it well," Sandman said.

"Of all the boats I’ve owned or fished from over the years, none have stacked up as well as this one in terms of on-water performance, easy launch and retrieve, and low maintenance.

"I hope my next Bar Crusher raises as many marlin as this one!"

On the maintenance front, if there wasn’t photo/video evidence of the fish Sandman’s caught, it’d be easy to come to the conclusion he’d spent more time polishing this boat than fishing from it!

Equally at home out wide over The Shelf as it is chasing snapper on inshore reefs or casting poppers around headlands for kingfish, this fully-kitted Bar Crusher 670HT is said to present as new, has very low hours, and is well-worth checking out if you’re in the market for a new boat.

(Hey, if you ask nicely, he might even throw in a copy of the ‘marlin mix’!)
