Five years after a major project to enhance its operational capacity, The Boat Works is embarking on another capital works program in 2026 – a multi-storey building with showrooms and office space to provide even more opportunities for marine professionals to call the burgeoning Gold Coast-based hub home.
Called ‘Pier 25’, construction will commence mid-2026 and completion is anticipated by the end of the year.

The Boat Works is currently home to over 100 individual marine businesses, many of which have established their national headquarters at the facility, making it a multi-faceted ecosystem for the region’s thriving marine manufacturing, sales and service providers and a magnet for boat owners.
“Reinvesting in The Boat Works has always been about strengthening the marine industry,” said Tony Longhurst, owner of The Boat Works.
“Pier 25 represents our commitment to growth and innovation, creating premium spaces for marine businesses to thrive while enhancing the experience for boat owners and visitors alike.
“This is just the next step to continue to enhance The Boat Works as Australia’s if not the Southern Hemisphere’s ultimate marine destination.”

The Boat Works’ last major construction project was in 2021, when a huge influx of Australian-owned vessels heading to the Gold Coast from overseas prompted the business to bring forward the next stage of its development – aimed squarely at superyachts.
The development added another five sheds capable of housing motor yachts up to 45m long, also creating a controlled environment for sandblasting and respraying.
