Construction has commenced on Pier 25 at The Boat Works on the Gold Coast, marking the latest stage in the ongoing expansion of one of Australia’s largest marine maintenance and refit facilities.
Positioned at the entrance to the precinct’s northern superyacht yard, Pier 25 is an architect-designed, multi-storey development that will house marine showrooms, office suites and crew accommodation when completed, currently scheduled for late 2026.
The project is being positioned as a premium commercial hub within the broader facility, aimed at marine businesses seeking high-visibility frontage and proximity to vessel owners, operators and service providers working within the precinct.

Marine engineering and technical services company Marine Solutions Australia (MSA) has been confirmed as the first tenant, signing on to establish its headquarters and showroom within the new development.
MSA director Stewart Humphries said the decision was driven by the company’s existing operational footprint at The Boat Works.
“95 per cent of our work is at The Boat Works,” Humphries said. “It makes sense to have our showroom there, in the heart of the action. We are super-excited to be moving into Pier 25 and The Boat Works, which shares the same ethos and dedication to world-class service as MSA.”
MSA currently provides mechanical, hydraulic and electrical engineering services, along with refit capability and 24/7 breakdown support for superyachts, commercial vessels and recreational boats. The company also supplies and services equipment including Sleipner/Side Power, Northern Lights generators and Zipwake systems, and has recently been appointed a dealer for Spot Zero watermakers and purification systems.

The business, which currently employs seven engineers and is recruiting additional staff, says it is preparing for expansion across Queensland and New South Wales, with operations planned for Sydney, Cairns and Airlie Beach.
At Pier 25, MSA plans to showcase its partner brands within a dedicated showroom space, supported by mobile service teams operating throughout the marina precinct and surrounding regions.
The Boat Works says Pier 25 is intended to strengthen its integrated marine ecosystem, which combines refit, repair, brokerage and marina services in one location.

According to facility owner Tony Longhurst, the development is designed to increase commercial capacity while improving visibility for marine businesses operating within the yard.
“Pier 25 represents our commitment to growth and innovation, creating premium spaces for marine businesses to grow and prosper, while enhancing the experience for boat owners and visitors,” Longhurst said.
The development will offer showroom and office tenancies aimed at marine brands, brokers and service providers. Key features include frontage to the main precinct entrance, access to existing vessel traffic and industry operators, and integration with The Boat Works’ broader maintenance and marina infrastructure.
Construction is underway, with completion targeted for the end of 2026.
