Rick, who has spent a lifetime boating and fishing, has been both a charter operator, guide, marine electronics consultant, boat show seminar presenter and widely published magazine writer. In this DVD he aims to share some of the knowledge you only pick up by spending hours on the water in the hope of helping boating newcomers to avoid the pitfalls associated with embarking on a new leisure pursuit.
It covers topics from mechanical checks, what safety gear you need and how to use it, practical boat handling tips and hints on towing, launching and retrieval.
The DVD retails for $19.95 and is available from selected marine dealers or through Huckstepp Fishing Media - so if you've just bought your first boat, it makes sense to get your hands on the DVD and learn the basics before hitting the water.
