TABS new range of small pressed boats
TABS - Tough Aussie Boats - are renowned for their innovative design and build strength, said the Queensland manufacturer TABS BoatsRecently, TABS Boats said it began the next phase of their expansion, creating a complete new range of pressed boats from 3.7 to 4.6m.
The company said its research and development team have followed the TABS ideals instilled from the start - build them once and build them tough.
They also developed their designs to increase the entry deadrise to significantly improve the ride, while maintaining efficiency through a moderate transom deadrise, said TABS Boats.
Final field testing by Andy Herring, head of R&D, resulted in an unreserved go-ahead to release the new boats to the dealers. In his opinion and drawing on his years of experience, the new TABS boats: "Will outperform anything on the market.
"Boat designs have become too complex. It's not unusual to win in one area and then lose in another," said Herring.
"Our boats combine the best design concepts; just good honest boats with healthy beams and a sharp vee at the pointy end. I even included some advanced modern building techniques from plate production, but that's TABS' secret," he said.
