The Rosehill Trailer Boat Show is back for 2019, featuring more than 30 exhibitors showcasing the best of the segment in everything from bowriders to fishing boats and jet skis.
Held at Sydney’s Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on April 6 and 7, the free show will this year extend into the Grand Pavilion, a double-storey building that significantly expands the undercover floorspace for displays.
This year, more than 250 boats are expected to be on show.
The Boating Industry Association, which organises the annual event, said trailer boating was increasing in popularity due to advances in technology and a network of newly developed launching ramps throughout NSW.
BIA president Alan Blake said trailer boats were the most popular class of motorised boating in Australia.
“The Rosehill Trailer Boat Show will again this year bring together the leading dealers from across Sydney and beyond, all ready to make a deal with existing boat owners wanting to make a trade-in, or with new boaties doing some research or making their first purchase,” Blake said.
“Visitors may even consider a pre-loved boat. This is Sydney’s own trailer boat show where all the questions about owning a trailer boat can be answered.”
The show will include Australia’s largest fishing demonstration tank, a 21-metre, 14,500-litre vessel that holds live fish.Tackle and fishing accessories will also be part of the show.
The show will also host NSW Roads and Maritime Services, which will hold self-service clinics for life jackets. Under NSW maritime law, a self-inflating life jacket must be serviced each year, or to manufacturers’ recommendations.
The show, which was founded in the 1960s at Silverwater Park, moved to Rosehill almost two decades ago.
