This weekend (March 7-8) the NSW BIA will stage the second Sydney Trailer Boat Show at Olympic Park operating from 9.00am to 5.00pm on both days.
With free entry, easy access via public transport, unlimited parking and the opportunity to view the latest in boats and general marine equipment, organisers say this rates as a 'must visit' exhibition for boat owners.
It’s also a family show, with plenty on to educate and entertain. One attraction for the younger brigade will be the Nautilus Marine Insurance Stage, where an entertaining array of guest speakers will be on hand, including former cricketing star Len Pascoe who will regale visitors with his fishing tricks with his 'Classic Catches with Slippery Len'.
And the kids will love Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants and his mates in the Bikini Bottom Dance among others.
Rated as one of the Boating Industry Association (BIA) of NSW’s oldest boat shows, this exhibition began life on the banks of the Parramatta River at Silverwater, before its move to Rosehill Gardens Events Centre, and now, into the modern confines of Sydney Olympic Park.
Domenic Genua from the BIA, said there were very good reasons for the show’s popularity: "Simply put, dealers, whether they’re selling boats, engines, electronics or fishing tackle, see this show as an opportunity to move stock on before the winter, and this year we have introduced another aspect to the show, a used-boat market place.
"It allows dealers the chance to unload excess summer stock and gives show visitors an opportunity to see what may be on offer," said Genua.
"Whatever form or style of boating meets your needs; the Sydney Trailer Boat Show will have something you will find appealing," he added.
