Boat owners... don’t miss this exciting opportunity to showcase your vessel in front of hundreds at the Australian National Maritime Museum’s 2012 Classic & Wooden Boat Festival on the weekend of October 13-14.
This year’s festival will be more intimate, allowing visitors to explore a selection of heritage vessels in more detail.
Vessel registrations are now open. So you can sign up and display your vessel to the many interested visitors and boating enthusiasts who attend the festival. This is a fantastic way to network with other classic boat owners including representatives of the NSW Wooden Boat Association and the Halvorsen Club.
Visitors to the festival will see a diverse range of privately-owned heritage vessels, from graceful yachts and streamlined speedboats to tugs and workboats, as well as the tall ships HMB Endeavour and James Craig.
There’ll be plenty to keep visitors entertained with a range of activities including children’s crafts, talks and demonstrations.
Vessel registrations close 15 June 2012 with fees ranging from from $100 (ashore) to $100-$200 afloat (depending on vessel size).
For more information on the festival or to register your vessel contact the Festival Coordinator on (02) 9298 3777 or email events@anmm.gov.au.
