The Classic & Wooden Boat Festival will be held at the Australian National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour on March 11 - 12.
More than 150 privately-owned boats including Australia's greatest show of classic speedboats, yachts of all ages, work boats of all shapes and sizes and a great range of pleasure cruisers - all with owners on hand to talk about them.
Traditional maritime craft demonstrations will include rope-making, coopering, sail- making, timber steaming, ropework, blacksmithing and many more.
It will be fun for the whole family with a vibrant market place selling all things nautical, food stalls, non-stop live entertainment and lots more. Entry to the museum is free.
The Great Ferry and Workboat Challenge, Sydney Harbour will be held on Sunday, March 12. Forty boats start near the National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour at 1 pm and race to Fort Denison and back. Tickets are available.
