SYDNEY BOAT SHOW: World release for Chaparral

Chaparral Australia is planning the release of an all-new model at the Sydney International Boat Show opening August 1. The world release will be only the second time Chaparral has launched a new model outside the US in its 49-year history. The first time was also in Sydney in 2011 with the launch of the 225 Sport Cabin.

While the details of the new boat are being carefully held, we understand that the new model will be in the popular H2O entry-level range that has been a best seller since its release 18 months ago.

We believe that the secret boat will be a bigger family model also with Sport and Ski/Fish layouts on offer.

Scott O’Hare from Chaparral Australia said: "Of course I cannot give you any details, it’s a secret! But, I will say that we are honoured to have been chosen for this world release and can tell you that it is a brand-new boat from the hull up."

Meanwhile, Chaparral Australia has announced that the Robalo offshore and crossover fishing boats have a new home in NSW. Family Boats in Blacktown has been appointed the master dealer for Robalo NSW and the brand's NSW show debut will be at Sydney

Family Boats has been a part of the NSW marine industry since 1975, while Robalo has been a premium brand in the 'States since 1968.
