SYDNEY BOAT SHOW: New Yamaha launches

New outboards, clean rigging, engine displays, WaveRunners, concept fishing craft, even a jet boat

Yamaha will unveil an unmissable and impressive corporate stand at the 2016 Sydney International Boat Show from July 28 to August 1.

Along with a full range of outboard engines and WaveRunners, there are cool new product releases, concept and throwback craft, and some very knowledgeable folk to talk Yammie on the exciting stand.

Just for thrills, Yamaha Australia will also unveil a funky 242 Limited S Yamaha bowrider boat with twin 180hp jet drives based on the 1.8L HO engine in its FX HO Waverunner.

With wake-enhancing technology and added safety, the smart Yamaha boat (imported as a marketing exercise only at this point) offers family watersports fun with added safety.

YAMAHA OUTBOARDS
The Yamaha crew says it's thrilled to be exhibiting the latest in outboard engines and new rigging technology at this year’s Sydney boat show.

Debuting for the first time in NSW are Yamaha’s latest VMAX SHO models, with the new game-changing inline-4 VF115 and VF150 joining the Australian-range including the impressive VMAX SHO VF250 on the back of a brand new Haines Hunter 2100R that recently clocked more than 110km/h.

Also on debut in Sydney is Yamaha’s new addition F90 Four-Stroke, which is proving to be exceptionally popular with savvy boaters looking to extract the maximum performance from their 90hp-rated trailerboat.

Elsewhere across the show, Yamaha’s NSW dealerships will have an array of Yamaha-powered locally built and imported boats. Powering a number of these boats is Yamaha’s all-new light-weight F130A outboard and the F115B.

YAMAHA RIGGING
Complementing the new Yamaha Outboard range is a new selection of Yamaha-exclusive rigging.

A new range of propellers dubbed the Talon Series joins the exclusive Yamaha selection. This new propeller benefits from Yamaha’s exclusive shock and noise-reducing technology called Shift Dampening System (SDS), which gives boaters "clunk-free" propeller engagement and gearshifts in either alloy or polished stainless steel.

SDS Propellers are now available on all Yamaha outboards from FT60 through to F350.

Yamaha is also exhibiting the all-new, all-in-one, high-definition, colour LCD 6YC Command-Link gauge, which relays real-time information from the outboard(s), fuel tanks and sensors, back to the helm.

The new 6YC Command-Link Digital gauge is compatible with Yamaha’s complete EFI four-stroke range from F30-F350.

WAVERUNNERS MAKING WAVES
Yamaha WaveRunners will showcase the latest in Personal Water Craft technology and a new fishing concept at the Sydney boat show.

For 2016, Yamaha has reinvigorated the line-up with some fresh colour and graphics combos, plus the release of a new TR-1 three-cylinder marine engine found in the ever-popular VX series.

The Waverunner display will have something for everyone, with craft from the stand-up Superjet to the mid-range Yamaha VX and FX HO models and the high-speed SVHO with championship-winning powertrains and lightened-hulls for unrivalled excitement.

All VX and FX models feature Yamaha’s-exclusive RiDE dual-throttle control system, which makes manoeuvring watercraft safer and easier.

NEW CONCEPT JETFISH
The new JetFish brand concept on show ties together a range of personal watercraft fishing ideas and innovations and will form the basis of Yamaha’s future activity in this area.

Yamaha’s Time-Trial RiDE Challenge is returning to the Sydney boat show. The WaveRunner simulator gives show-goers the chance to race against the clock to win some cool Yamaha prizes.

Last but not least, 2016 marks the 30th anniversary of Yamaha WaveRunners. To celebrate this milestone a wide-range of Yamaha WaveRunners will be on display, along with a selection of key historical models, and the award-winning TR-1 marine engine and SVHO marine engine cut-aways.

At Sydney boat show, Yamaha will be located next to Gate #3. More on the latest Yamaha outboard engines and WaveRunners at the Yamaha Australia website.
