SYDNEY BOAT SHOW: New Sea Ray SLX luxury bowriders

The impressive upmarket bowrider range is set to make a big splash at Sydney show

American Sea Ray needs no introduction, with the famous badge and brand enjoying an especially loyal following Down Under, only at this year’s Sydney International Boat Show (open from July 28-August 1) there are some new upmarket Sea Ray SLX bowriders with even greater style, comfort and performance.

Designed for today’s pleasure boaters, discerning drivers and family boaters, the new SLX range offers style, substance, sumptuous layouts, saltwater build quality, and lasting value.

NSW Sea Ray dealer Mark Chapman from the Chapman Marine Group says the boats' high spec levels, great performance for dealing with bumpy Sydney Harbour, and the rack-and-stack storage solutions he’s offering with these new SLX bowriders cater perfectly to the Sydney market.

"Since 2006, Sea Ray's Select range — which is now known as the SLX — has
been the top-shelf choice of bowrider aficionados.

"Sea Ray has invested heavily in the latest interpretations of these
globally popular boats, with the SLX range now stretching from a 23
footer to a 35 footer.

"There is the option of inboard or outboard power
all the way up to the new 31 SLX with twin 300-350hp Mercury Verado
FourStrokes," he says. "And the boats on show will have a wide range of options to show what's possible with Sea Ray today."

THREE SLX ON SHOW
There are three 2016 SLX on show: the 230 SLX with a blue hull, the 250 SLX with a black hull, and the new 280 SLX with a navy hull.

The 230 SLX will have the new 300hp 6.2L V8 MerCruiser with Bravo 3 Duoprop, a bimini tower and the upmarket finish and fitout that’s part of the SLX range.

The black 250 SLX and dark-blue 280 SLX also have the new made-for-marine 6.2L V8 but with 350hp output, plus even more options. The 250 includes a Power Tower, submersible hydraulic swim platform, and teak decking.

The 280 SLX has the all-new Dynamic Dash, with a glass touchscreen incorporating GPS, full engine and system monitoring, digital switching, and an upgraded sound system with Bluetooth and subwoofer to help you on your way.

All three Sea Ray SLX models are turnkey factory-rolled boats. Prices start from $106 for the 230SLX excluding trailer.

Working with Sydney Boathouse at Rozelle Bay, Chapman Marine Group will
be offering special Sydney boat show storage and service packages on the
three new SLX models.

Chapman says he’s not a trailerboat dealer and that the rack-and-stack storage solution is far superior for today’s time-poor Sydney boaters. These new Sea Ray SLXs are a pretty nice way to launch, too. More at searay.com.
