SYDNEY BOAT SHOW: Maritimo set for big display

New S48 launching alongside M48 flybridge sister ship, plus M65 long range and more

Iconic Australian luxury-cruiser manufacturer Maritimo says it's on a roll after a highly successful Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and is now planning a big presence at the upcoming Sydney International Boat Show from July 30-August 3.

"The reaction to our new models in recent months has been very encouraging and we are sure that the Sydney boat-buying public will be equally as enthusiastic when they see what we have on offer," said Sales and Marketing Manager, Greg Haines.

The jewels of the Maritimo display in Sydney will be the new M48 and M65 cruising motor yachts, first released at Sanctuary Cove, although the new S48 Sedan making its how debut in Sydney will be the showstopper.

In addition, Maritimo will have its highly successful M58 cruising motor yacht and its slightly smaller sibling the M50 on display.

"The reaction to the new M48 at Sanctuary Cove was tremendous and we believe the S48 will be equally well received in Sydney," said Mr Haines.

"It is perfect for people who have to travel below bridges to get to their home berths or who do not want to have to climb stairs to access the flybridge.

"They still get all the bells and whistles of what we think will be one of our best selling boats, but at a lower price point and with the benefits of single level boating.

"The first and second versions of the M48 cruising motor yacht saw us sell 108 boats and this new model, which has significant changes and inclusions, will test those sort of numbers again we are predicting," Mr Haines added.

Maritimo will also be displaying its world championship winning offshore powerboat at the Sydney display.

"We are contesting the world championships again in Key West later in the year so this will give people a chance to see up close the sort of technology and design that puts Maritimo at the forefront of the global offshore racing circuit," Mr Haines said.

A special Maritimo owners and supporters tour was being organized for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the racing at Key West. The tour is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Maritimo owners and boaties and  has been well received, says the Gold Coast yard.
