SYDNEY BOAT SHOW: Hanse 575 debut
Record international sales precede arrival of luxury German-made 57-footerIt was launched less than a year ago, but the Hanse 575 has already exceeded expectations with a record 70 yachts sold.
Local importer Windcraft says the 575 will impress with its sleek contemporary design, unique Hanse features and handcrafted finish when make its Australian debut at the Sydney International Boat Show opening August.
Windcraft maintains that the 575's global sales success is testimony to the market’s increasing demand for yachts that are high performing under sail while offering a luxury on-water lifestyle.
At the time of writing, the 575 had a $750,000 base price, Windcraft told BoatPoint and boatsales, but prices are expect to head north.
Designed by naval architects Judel/Vrolijk & Co, the Hanse 575’s features include:
- A light, strong and durable epoxy-based vinylester sandwich hull with stainless steel keel bolts.

- A higher freeboard and a wide clear and safer continuous bulwark and cockpit with the halyards, sheets and reefing lines running under the deck to the twin helm positions.
- Flush hatches which further aid safe movement on deck and flood the interior with light and fresh air.
- A generous-sized cockpit with two tables that retract to offer a large sunbathing area.
- An easy-access wide bathing platform and a revolutionary electric dinghy garage to make enjoying swimming and water sports easy.
- An integrated self-tacking jib system and two mainsail options: fully battened or furling.
- Two powerful winches positioned at the helm to enable easy manoeuvring.
- A contemporary well-appointed loft-style interior. Unlike traditional yacht dining areas, the 575 combines the lounge and dining areas.
- A linear galley fully equipped with all the luxuries of home -- fridge drawers, dishwasher, ice maker, microwave and espresso maker.
- A versatile layout to suit any lifestyle: the dining table turns into a king-sized lounge and there’s a choice of 3, 4, 5 or 6 individual cabins offering privacy and comfort.
