Excitement is building ahead of the 2025 Sydney Boat Show, returning this August in a brand-new format, presented by the Boating Industry Association (BIA) in partnership with Mulpha Events.
This year, the show will be split across two separate events. The first, to be held from August 14 to 17 at the Sydney Showground in Sydney Olympic Park, will showcase a wide range of boats, gear, and accessories using both indoor and outdoor spaces.
“Sydney Olympic Park is the perfect venue, offering world-class exhibition facilities, excellent public transport, ample parking, and the ability to expand outdoors,” said BIA President, Adam Smith.

“It places a premier boating event right at the geographic heart of Sydney with its vast population of more than six million. Providing more accessibility, enabling exhibitors to connect even more with passionate boaters and those keen to get out on the water.”
This August’s show will focus on paddle, power, and sail boats up to 10 metres in length, as well as the latest marine technology and accessories, with a strong emphasis on the fishing sector.
Event highlights include:
The indoor exhibition space is already fully booked, with hundreds of vessels — from compact paddle craft to the latest offshore powerboats — expected to go on display.

“At the 2025 Sydney Boat Show, visitors can look forward to 21,000 square metres of exhibition space packed with exciting and revolutionary offerings from both local and internationally renowned marine and fishing brands,” Smith added.
“The Show will also feature a host of exciting national and global premieres and new product launches.”
Key brands confirmed for the show include Sea-Doo, Mercury, Honda, Garmin, Kawasaki, Malibu, Nautique Central, Sirocco Marine and many more.
The show will also host important stakeholder and government forums, tackling key industry topics such as marine workforce development in a sector that currently employs over 35,000 people but continues to face skill shortages.

Following the August event, the Sydney International On-Water Boat Show will take place at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour, from November 13 to 16, 2025. This second event will focus on larger vessels (10m–30m+) and higher-end products, including luxury cruisers and alternative fuel-powered sports boats.
BIA President, Adam Smith, said the shift to November offers more ideal weather and daylight for a true on-water experience.
“By stepping away from conventional indoor exhibition halls and fully activating the harbourside precinct, we’re creating a truly immersive experience where people can connect with the boating lifestyle in the most natural setting, on and around the water,” he said.

“These exciting changes are designed to meet the evolving needs of both the industry and boating enthusiasts.
“By introducing two distinct formats, the BIA aims to create more engaging and accessible opportunities, allowing people to experience the best of boating in Australia.”
Tickets for the August show are now on sale, with general admission priced at $19 (plus booking fee). Kids under 16 enter free with a paying adult. Early bird ticket buyers (before July 31) will also go in the draw to win $5000 in Boat Show Dollars to spend with exhibitors.
