With a combination of power, panache, and performance, the new 24 FasDeck proves that great athletes aren’t born, they’re made, says Regal of its new hybrid deckboat destined to debut at next month’s Sydney boat show.
Coming from bloodlines of previous Regal FasTrac sportboat designs, but with the necessity of today’s deckboat functionality, the 24 FasDeck dances on top of chop, hugs tight to the water in turns, fits nicely into a garage, and tows with ease, claims the big American boatbuilder.
A patented FasTrac Hull gives you more control on the water, with claims of 26 per cent faster speeds and 30 per cent better fuel efficiency. The RX version, pictured, also has go-fast graphics.
The new boat also boasts a great social layout centred on so-called Arena Seating, where seats surround the cockpit and bow area, offer handy storage under their bases, and double as viewing platforms of those being towed out the back.
A separate fully enclosed WC is built into the boat for comfortable all-day social boating.
At the transom, meanwhile, is a six-position UltraLounge for kicking back at anchor, while the extended, low-profile swim platform makes boarding easier and encourages more water sports.
The trick PowerTower folds away at the touch of a button, while the Fusion 700 marine stereo has full integration for your iPod/iPhone in a waterproof dock.
The base model 24 Fasdeck sells locally for $84,828 with a 5.0L Volvo or MerCruiser petrol inboard engine. The fully optioned version has as $104,000 sticker price with upgraded 5.7L engine, spiffy hydraulic tower, and more cool kit.
You can see the Regal 24 Fasdeck at Sydney International Boat Show opening August 1 on the Premier Marine Stand 300 in Hall 3. Order now or at the show for a boat in time for summer.
