Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) in Melbourne will host the Third Annual Club Marine SYC Centenary Trophy Regatta on Saturday April 27 on Port Phillip.
SYC invites all boating enthusiasts from around Victoria to participate.
Entry is open to IRC, AMS and PHS, along with the J24 one-design fleet to compete in a number of fleet racing events, as well as all other vessels interested in participating in a family-friendly, rally-style event. This event will be run across several courses on Port Phillip, in the vicinity of SYC.
In addition, the club will also be concurrently hosting the second leg of the TP52 Southern Cross Cup from 26-28 April. Combined with the Club racing fleets this will make for spectacular viewing from the club's northern deck across the entire weekend.
The regatta is designed so there is something to please everyone. As not everyone wants to race hard at this end of the season, the event will also be offering a pursuit-start event which will be a bit more laidback to include cruisers and a non-spinnaker division.
After the serious ‘stuff’ on the water, the party will begin with live music and celebrations back at the SYC clubhouse. SYC say the club will ensure all participants are made welcome.
