First created in 2003, the Swift Trawler rethought the concept of the traditional Trawler.
Beneteau gave careful consideration to life on board and style, and provided answers to the key questions of autonomy and energy efficency. After 10 years and the amazing success of four models, from 34 to 52 feet, Beneteau is about to launch the Swift Trawler 50.
Resulting from a renewed collaboration between the Beneteau's motorboat design office, architect, Michel Joubert and designer Pierre Frutschi, Beneteau says the new Swift Trawler retains the features made its predecessors, so successful.
The new design features a modern silhouette that emphasises a very fluid flybridge line and a hull specifically designed for the choice of IPS engines (2 IPS 600). The Swift Trawler 50 also marks a significant development in the layout which is designed to suit the different ways people use their boats.
Beneteau says that from the cruising couple to the large family, all types of crews will find the layout and attractive.
When cruising, the IPS pods increase the boat's manoeuvrability considerably. Long-distance sailors will appreciate the modularity of the ‘dining’ space, located beside the helm station, which can be converted into a watch bunk. To the fore, the anchorage area, raised by 45 cm, turns out to be
both practical and highly ergonomic.
To the rear, to make it easier to launch the, the Swift Trawler 50 is equipped with a hydraulic swim platform on option. Also an innovation, are the high bulwarks surrounding the deck, providing greater safety.
