Suzuki launches online sales for 2.5hp to 30hp outboard engine range
You can now price a low-powered Suzuki outboard engine online before you buy itSuzuki Marine has launched an all-new online shop in Australia that allows anyone to log in and calculate the price of fitting a new low-powered outboard engine to their boat.
According to Suzuki, the price-calculating “widget” is an Australian first for an outboard engine distributor. It allows buyers interested in one of Suzuki’s portable tiller-steer engines ranging from 2.5hp to 30hp to see the final price they will pay to take it home with them.
However, it will also allow buyers to see how much extra they will pay if they want to add gauges and forward controls – including the price of having them fitted.

“It not only adds a layer of transparency with Suzuki Marine pricing but also provides the basis for a seamless transaction to purchase a new Suzuki outboard motor on www.suzukimarine.com.au”, the outboard engine maker said in a statement announcing the new service.
Users just need to select the “pricing and options” tab on the landing page for an outboard engine of between 2.5hp and 30hp to see Suzuki’s “sail-away” pricing, including the pre-delivery fee.
Once the buyer has configured their engine, a summary page will display an instant offer to the customer, who can then either ask for their nearest dealer to contact them to either order the engine or offer advice about finance, insurance and trade-ins.
The buyer can then choose to pay a $1000 deposit to reserve their outboard engine order. Once the deposit is paid, a dealer will contact them to complete the paperwork ahead of the buyer picking up their new powerplant in-store.
According to Suzuki Marine’s website, and as part of the Suzuki Marine Ultimate Outboard Event promotion, a 2.5hp outboard engine is priced from $1349 sail-away, while a 30hp outboard engine with electric start, tilt and trim and the more expensive white trim option replacing the standard black will be priced from $7250.
An internal or external fuel tank is included in the price of all engines.
Suzuki Marine offers a three-year, unlimited-hours warranty with a bonus three-year extension if the engine is serviced at a Suzuki dealership for the entire extended warranty period.
