Suzuki expands southern boundaries
A new distribution centre located in the Melbourne suburb of Campbellfield will make Suzuki Marine's range of outboards more accessible to Victorian and South Australian dealershipsOpening in October, McPhee Distribution Services' newest Suzuki warehouse has a clear span of approximately 7000m² and 6000-pallet capacity.
McPhee Distribution Services pick, pack and send Suzuki Marine's range of two and four-stroke engines to 88 Australian dealerships and 29 in NZ.
With an annual five-time stock turn, Suzuki Marine has utilised the services of McPhee for more than six years and has become one of McPhee Distribution Services biggest customers in terms of stock volume.
Suzuki Marine parts and logistics manager for Australia and NZ, Garry Haines said the addition of the Melbourne distribution centre meant the company could better service its growing client base.
"Servicing Tasmania and the southern states has always been challenging, but having a distribution point in Melbourne will speed up delivery time by 50 per cent," said Haines.
