Once again the 'Formula Ones' of the sea will thrill crowds across six rounds in Australian east-coast locations.
Last year, Wayne Valder and Chris Hanley of Global Racing took out both the Australian and New Zealand titles and will be back this year in an attempt to repeat feat.
Continuing his role as president of the Offshore Superboat Committee this year, Graham Fraser said he looks forward to another successful year of racing: "Last year was a highly successful series for the OSC, largely due to the amount of support received from local towns, businesses, tourism groups and Councils who made it all possible, he said.
"This year, Mooloolaba will replace Redcliffe in September, a hotly contested course that all teams revel in and are thrilled to be racing on again. No doubt it will present some challenging offshore conditions, making for exciting viewing for spectators," Fraser added.
The series kicks off in Newcastle on ANZAC Day weekend, April 25-26, with an expected 15 teams starting the race season.
Pole Position Shootout will start on Saturday at 11:00am and Sunday will see Race 1 at 10:30am and Race 2 at 12:00pm.
