Sunseeker announces new flagship

Radical new plans for custom 168ft Sport Yacht, as long-time boss walks out the door

British luxury yacht manufacturer, Sunseeker International, has announced its most ambitious project to date within its new custom line of Yachts, a 168 Sport Yacht – the largest ever Sunseeker to date in 2017.

The 168 Sport Yacht announcement follows the successful launch of the 155 Yacht earlier this year, which has been met with critical acclaim from around the world.

Sunseeker says the new Sport Yacht will boast the interior volume of a tri-deck yacht, coupled with aggressive exterior styling of a sport yacht – bringing together an exciting combination of performance, looks and space. Engine options will provide economical displacement cruising of more than 4000 miles together with the option of hitting 25 knots when the mood takes you.

Sean Robertson, sales director at Sunseeker International commented: "Words cannot capture how excited we all are to be building such an awe-inspiring Sport Yacht so quickly after the launch of our majestic 155 Yacht. The new custom 168 Sport Yacht will be a true flagship for the Sunseeker range and is sure to capture the hearts of yacht lovers across the globe."

Sunseeker will be sharing photos and build updates on their website www.sunseeker.com and Facebook page www.facebook.com/SunseekerInternational.

Meantime, long-time Sunseeker boss Stewart McIntyre made headlines this week for "abrupting leaving the luxury UK-based yacht builder" to persue other interests. Sunseeker is owned by China's wealthiest man, Wang Jianlin from Wang Wanda Group, which paid 300 million British pounds for 91.8 per cent of the Dorset-based yard in 2013.
