Sunseeker International has released the first images of its smallest flybridge model for over a decade, the all-new Manhattan 52, which will be making its world premiere at Cannes Yachting Festival from September 6-11.
The Manhattan 52 has been designed to maximise entertainment options, light and living space in a small flybridge motoryacht. The hull is said to incorporate "unparalleled amounts of curved glass" to emphasise the sleek lines as well as bring the outside back inside.
Sunseeker says this new 52 sets the design direction for a new wave of Manhattan motoryachts that will be introduced over the coming years.
There is a strong focus on creating fun and easy to use sociable spaces, Sunseeker says, from the generous saloon and upper aft galley, through to the social seating at the helm, all with flowing entertaining spaces.
The open layout stretches to a well-equipped bathing platform and transom area that can be converted into a mini beach club — said to be a unique and unrivalled feature for a boat in this class — with optional built-in barbeque, overhead shower and fold down transom seating.
But Sunseeker says the standout feature that truly sets the Manhattan 52 apart is the hinged glass cockpit/galley window that opens upwards and outwards, which, alongside the bi-fold saloon doors, creates an exceptional inside/outside environment.
The convertible helm seating is another new feature, designed to enhance life onboard, as it allows owners to fold the seats forward to provide an incredibly large saloon seating area.
Thanks to the galley being situated on the main deck, there is space for three very large cabins below. The master cabin is said to be another standout feature for a boat of this size, with full height headroom all the way around the bed. Interior fabric and décor selections are upmarket.
Powered by Volvo Penta D11-725 engines on shaft drive or Volvo Penta IPS-950, the Manhattan 52 can cruise comfortably at 24 knots with a cruising range of 250 nautical miles or achieve an exhilarating 33 knots at full throttle, Sunseeker says.
"We’re really looking forward to hosting the world premiere... following on from two much larger models launched earlier this year, the 131 Yacht and the 95 Yacht, this flybridge option makes an important statement about Sunseeker’s continued focus on giving our customers the best in class across every segment we operate in," Sean Robertson, Sales Director at Sunseeker International, said.
