Stunning Catana 59 arrives
Cutting-edge fast French cruising cat makes a splash on the multihull sceneDescribed as a remarkable new cruising catamaran, the first-ever Catana 59 participated in the Multihull Solutions Pittwater Rendezvous, held in conjunction with the popular Lock Crowther Multihull Regatta, over this NSW October Long Weekend.
Available for immediate sale, the Catana 59 is a fully optioned performance cruising cat with cutting-edge design, high-tech layup and real alacrity under sail.
Importers Multihull Solutions says the 59 is undoubtedly the most magnificent Catana ever seen in Australia, incorporating spectacular new innovations resulting from extensive shipyard research and planning.
The catamaran has a sleek and minimalist design, the cockpit and saloon are on the same level, there's a multi-purpose extendable lounge, and an interior that is said to set new standards in style and comfort.
The unique living zones are designed to create an enlarged sense of space, with a big galley and island unit, wide passageways and spacious cabins that are described as capacious and drenched in natural light with great ventilation.
Multihull Solutions says this unrivalled level of comfort goes hand-in-hand with high performance and 360-degree views, whether from the steering position, cockpit, saloon or chart table.
As evidenced above, the exterior of the Catana 59 is elegant, with its reverse bows and inward-curving daggerboards. The new hulls exceed the performance and volume of its popular predecessor, the Catana 58.
Benefiting from the very latest industry advances in recreational sailing construction, including the infusion process and use of carbon (now standard across all Catana models), the 59 is pitched as a high-performance, lightweight and incredibly strong cruising catamaran.
The Catana 59 was to be available for viewing to members and non-members of the Royal Motor Yacht Club on Pittwater on Friday October 4 from 3pm to 5pm. There will also be a casual function from 5pm until 7pm at the club to officially open the Multihull Rendezvous and Lock Crowther Regatta.
