Streaker's new 5.45 Navigator Walk Thru

Streaker applies its Walk Thru design concept to the proven 5.45

Melbourne based Streaker Boats has launched a Walk Thru version of its proven 5.45 trailerboat.

Streaker boss Leon Savage says the success of the Walk Thru concept on the company's 4.85 and 5.02 Series hulls prompted the new model. The new Walk Thru has been dubbed the Streaker 5.45 Navigator

In basic configuration the Navigator is a modern cuddy cab design with an open cockpit, an elevated helm position and a roomy cabin under the foredeck.

Streaker says the new design allows users to directly access the bow for anchoring and other duties by swinging open the split windscreen centre panel and hinging up the long deck hatch. No more clambering around the side decks of the cuddy in poor conditions.

"The beauty of this system is its simplicity," said Savage. "The Walk Thru is easy, clean and it allows an angler to be standing inside the boat to work the anchor."

"The customer feedback on our initial Streaker Walk Thru models was nothing short of astonishing. We had customers coming back raving about the new design."

The Streaker 5.45 Navigator Walk Thru measures 5.45 metres in length overall and has a beam of 2.49 metres. Streaker Boats says the cockpit is "an angler's delight, with virtually every conceivable feature built-in as standard".

The stern quarter seats are removable for the best fishing station. A new rear bait board incorporates rodholders, hinged cutting board and drain tube. The helm seat has an inbuilt tackle tray and side rod storage holders are a permanent fixture in both moulded side pockets, which are elevated off the cockpit floor.

Deluxe bucket seats with underseat storage are standard.

In the factory fitted BMT (boat motor and trailer) package there is also a Lowrance sounder/GPS unit, engine instrumentation, two way radio and aerial included.

"Rounding out the practical features is an alloy rocket launcher which is fully integrated with the canopy and front/side clear curtains," says Streaker.

The 5.45 Navigator Walk Thru is rated to carry either two stroke or four stroke outboards up to 150hp. Streaker says a 115hp Yamaha four-stroke is ample. The first two rigs off Streaker's production line feature 130hp two-stroke Yamaha power.

Priced as a 'turn-key' package, the Streaker 5.45 Navigator Walk Thru, Yamaha 130hp two-stroke outboard and Dunbier tandem trailer is being offered at an introductory price of $48,990 (ex-Melbourne)

"Tow away no more to pay," says Streaker.  "This is a complete factory rigged package with not a cent more needed to go fishing".
