Stingray's new seven seater
Package deal at LeisurefestStingray Boats will launch their latest seven-seater bowrider at the Melbourne Leisurefest that opens at Sandown Racecourse on September 30.
The new 180RX, which is 18 feet overall, is capable of nudging 80kph with its economical four-cylinder Volvo Penta petrol engine and patented "Z plane" hull.
The luxurious model on display at Leisurefest is the first in the country and will come with a special launch package, including many options, for just $37,500.
Standard equipment on the compact bowrider includes remote tilt and trim, a wake board tower, a four blade stainless steel prop, a bimini, stereo, full covers and an EZ-Loader trailer with hydraulic brakes and swing-away draw bar.
Stingray Boats are built in the US in South Carolina and are designed with highly efficient hulls that allow smaller, lighter engines to provide the same performance as much heavier and thirstier engines.
The 180RX is built with the budget conscious boater in mind but it includes many luxury touches including power steering, a bow cooler, cup holders and a large underfloor compartment for bulky items.
The boat has twin adjustable bucket seats plus a full width bench seat in the aft and a large sunning area over the motor. Three or four people can ride in the bow area. It is powered by Volvo Penta's 3.0 litre GL SX sterndive that delivers 136hp and which provides efficient fuel use.
