Stacer Mod Pod models
For the first time in six years, the Stacer range of aluminium boats has undergone a total overhaul and now offers more features than ever beforeAll new Stacer Mod Pod models (4.5m and larger) feature a new generation EVO Hull - EVO Series II.
Stacer spokesman Damien Duncan said the bottom sheets of the EVO Series II were the same as the original EVO Hull.
"The original EVO Hull performs well and this was not an area that we felt needed changing," Duncan said.
"But everything from the waterline up, we changed.
"The new model side sheets now incorporate a rolled side pressing that starts off at the transom and runs along two-thirds of the length of the boat towards the bow."
The new pressing is located near the chine line and delivers three distinct benefits:
- Spray deflector - The pressing is situated close to the waterline, allowing the spray to be deflected at an early stage;
- Stability - It adds a second level of stability to the original EVO Hull, providing added stability at rest;
- More space - The extra space created by the rolled side pressing provides room for foam to be installed for level floatation capabilities, which is now standard on the majority of models throughout the range.
Duncan said the 2006 Stacer range was setting new standards in design, safety, and package inclusions in the trailerboat market.
"The Stacer research and development team has revolutionised the Stacer range with all EVO Series II Hull," he said.
"These models now offer even greater stability, quicker planing, level floatation capabilities and a spray deflector to push spray away from the boat at an early stage."
Stacer Mod Pod models for 2006 also boast a new-look transom with greater boarding area on the duck board. The previous transom motor cavity has been removed and all cables now feed through the transom to free up the boarding area.
Other advancements across the range include larger anchor wells, new ladders, deck lights as standard, splash decks, a modern dash design, bigger fuel tanks, new interior upholstery, and a range of storage options - all without compromising any of Stacer's generous cockpit space.
All 619 and larger models have been redesigned as plate boats with thicker 4mm side sheets and 5mm bottom sheets.
And smaller models in the Stacer stable have not missed out - the Stacer open boat range now features a handy glovebox and drink holder.
To take the confusion out of buying the right boat, motor, and trailer package, Stacer offers all boats as a 'Ready 2 Go' package.
The package comes complete with boat, Mariner outboard, Stacer trailer, bimini and envelope, registrations,
and a three-year factory-backed warranty.
BOOTYLICIOUS
Those that prefer a well-rounded rear end will love the voluptuous new Stacer transom.
Damien Duncan said several design changes had been made to the transom of new Stacer models without compromising any of Stacer's generous cockpit space.
"The new design transom is angled from the transom corner to meet flush with the motor mount," Duncan said.
"This provides more duckboard area for easy boarding, which is perfect for swimmers, divers, and boarding on the beach
"The transom top has also been cut back to give a modern look and to keep away from the more conventional motor-well areas."
These design changes have made way for the introduction of the new integrated transom door, which is easy to use and practical in design - simply unclasp the door and let it drop down.
The door then doubles as a step to access the cockpit from the duckboard.
Transom doors are standard in the 569 models and larger.
