The covers will come off the Stacer 589 Sea Master at this week’s 2019 Adelaide Boat Show, introducing a new, offshore-friendly range-topper for the aluminium plate boat line.
The new model expands the Sea Master range to six boats, including the 429, 449, 469, 499, 519 and the freshly added 589.
According to Stacer, the 589 Sea Master adds a “good, open fishing boat that is able to handle offshore conditions”. It said the boat was one that could “fish 75 per cent of the time, and cruise the remaining time”.

“That’s the neat thing,” Stacer national account manager Cameron Wood said. “This boat can be used basically anywhere in Australia. It makes sense in offshore or inshore situations, and is built to handle Australia’s coastal conditions.”
The biggest boat in Stacer’s runabout range, the Stacer 589 Sea Master measures 5.96 metres long, and a beamy 2.35 metres wide.
Inside, the new Sea Master is “noticeably larger”, with a cockpit measuring 2.3 metres from the back of the helm chairs to the transom, and with 1.8m of workable space between the rolled side decks. All up, this equated to 2.8 cubic metres of cockpit volume, Stacer said.

Internal freeboard measures 0.67 metres, making it suited to offshore work, and the transom is built to take an extra-long shaft outboard engine.
“The 589 Seamaster is equipped with the soft-riding Revolution hull as well as a comfortable rear lounge and maritime seats as standard,” Stacer said.
“The most popular options to make this fishing boat even better is a transom door for dragging in a big catch, or an electric drum winch for easy anchoring.”
Stacer said the comfortable helm and dash area made it easy to control the vessel, while a drop-down floor in front of the console seats made standing or sitting comfortably for both the skipper and first mate.

The 2019 Adelaide Boat Show opens at its new Adelaide Convention Centre venue from Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30.
Tickets, which are available online, cost $10 for adults, $5 for children aged 5 to 17, with children aged under five admitted free. Family tickets for two adults and three children are $25, while pensioners are $8.
