Stabicraft goes amphibious with Sealegs

In a collaborative partnership with Stabicraft Marine, Sealegs has released its latest amphibious model — the Stabicraft 2100 ST Supercab. As the WA dealer says, you can now "fish the unfishable."

Now available in Australia, the new 2100 ST Supercab, which we recently tested here, sees Sealegs motorised, retractable and steerable wheels integrated onto the popular Stabicraft model.

The Sealegs system works by having powerful motorised wheels, which give the user a variable on land speed of 0-7km/h (forward and reverse) powered by an on-board 22hp Honda driven hydraulic power pack.

Designed to be the perfect ‘adventure’ craft on and off the water, the 2100 ST Supercab can be driven from a storage location or trailer, down a boat ramp or beach and into the water, all with the occupants staying in the boat and remaining completely dry.

Once in the water, the Sealegs wheels are easily retracted into the ‘Up’ position and are completely out of the water. The boat is then driven and used as normal. When approaching land, the Sealegs wheels are lowered into the ‘Down’ position while still moving in the water.

Once on land, the craft can be lowered until the hull is touching the ground, allowing passengers to disembark safely.

The release of the 2100 ST Supercab has proven so popular that Sealegs have sold 12 of these craft in the first three months of production.

YAMAHA OUTBOARD POWER
Powered by a Yamaha 200hp four stroke outboard, the 2100 ST Supercab will achieve a top speed of 37 knots with a comfortable cruise of 24 knots @ 4000rpm using 28 litres per hour, providing a range of 130 nautical miles from the 200lt fuel tank.

The 2100 ST Supercab boasts a generous forward cabin, underseat storage, cockpit side shelves, seating for four passengers and provision for four anglers to fish comfortably in the cockpit.

With provision to stow plenty of gear, the protection of the hardtop and its proven bluewater hull performance, the 2100 ST Supercab is said to be the ideal vessel to explore Australia’s expansive coastline.

MANDURAH BOAT SHOW DEBUT
Stabicraft says its new production-made amphibious boats will appeal to explorers and anglers alike who want to explore remote regions, and with the Sealegs technology, be able to access shallow waters for fishing, or to be able to venture ashore and set up camp for extended periods.
