Ocean Whaler Marine is a Perth-based Western Australian boatbuilding company that has been building the Ocean Whaler range of boats since 2004.

Nigel Johnson, the designer and company director, is a qualified shipwright with over 20 years in the boating industry.

Shortly after getting under way in the Ocean Whaler 565, the stability and excellent wave-handling characteristics are highly apparent. As a wave approaches, there is minimum bow rise, rather, the 565 cuts through more than many other boats and the 'landings' are soft. Ride is also very level, with the tilt seen in these photographs approaching the 565's limit.

According to Nigel, the Ocean Whaler tri-hull design has fast earned a reputation for being a safe, dry and an exceptionally good handling boat in the rough conditions that the WA coastline has to offer.

Each boat is completely filled with a closed cell, polyurethane foam that complies and surpasses the Level Flotation regulations. The centre console layout and the squared bow allow the entire length of the boat to be utilised as work, rest or play space.

Other Ocean Whaler 565 features include a self-draining deck, underfloor 90lt fuel tank, moulded anchorwell, folding windscreen with grabrail, stainless steel rails, stainless steel folding ladder, stainless steel bollard and cleats, swinging helm seat backrest, upholstered forward cushions, storage inside console and helm seat, removable dicky seats with back rests, moulded non-skid deck, and foldout rod storage.
