For some people, sailing is a passion. As their skills and confidence grow, so does the desire to get an ever-larger sailboat that can go farther for longer.
This is why boats such as the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 exist. At 12.35 metres length overall – that’s 41 feet in the old money – it’s big enough to confidently venture offshore, and once at its destination, anchor up in comfort.
The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 is now up to its eighth generation, with refinements continually made to the formula. This latest model features uncluttered side decks, a comfortable coaming enclosing the large cockpit, and a boom that’s closer to the deck to increase sail area, which in turn increases performance.
Below the low coach house is a cabin designed by Jean-Marc Piaton that takes advantage of the large below desks volume.
“The partitions and the distribution of space were designed in a somewhat atypical fashion in order to maximise the interior space, both visually and physically,” Jeanneau says of the Sun Odyssey 410.
“The eye easily follows the uninterrupted interior lines.
“The interior is at once surprising and consistent with the Sun Odyssey line, where innovation serves to heighten the aesthetic and the level of comfort,” it says.
The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 is available in either a two- or three-cabin layout, with the third cabin also available to be configured as a workspace if needed.
You can also order the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 with a 1.37-metre draft lifting keel, allowing you to sneak into shallow bays and estuaries.
The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 410 is available via Sydney-based Performance Boating.
