Spotlight: Haines Signature 650F

The Haines Signature 650F is a fibreglass cuddy cabin fishing boat measuring 6.55 metres long and with a beam of 2.5 metres.

One of its party tricks, though, is a modular transom design that gives owners the choice between three different layouts – a walkthrough transom, a seating module or a larger-volume single central live bait tank.

Haines Signature says the Haines Signature 650F is a “dedicated offshore fishing boat”.

“If looks could kill, the fish will certainly want to be jumping on board the 650F and into one of its live bait tanks,” it says.

“With the hardtop option, all-weather protection is guaranteed and the split windscreen, stainless steel frame and sliding side windows of the helm area, combined with the split bow rails and curved SVDH hull make for one imposing fishing machine.”

SVDH, or the Siganture Variable Deadrise Hull, is Haines Signature’s name for its patented hull technology that varies the deadrise from 33 degrees at the bow to 21 degrees at the transom. The hull includes foam-filled spaces under the floor to provide extra buoyancy.

Haines Signature says the benefits of SVDH include a softer ride form the deep forward vee, more stability from a hull that sits lower in the water, lower planing speeds, fuel savings from a more efficient hull, and a dry ride.

Combined with the drop-nose cuddy, the hull also optimises forward vision at low speeds.

The large forward cabin, which has the option of a locking door, can comfortably sleep two and includes large storage spaces under each of the vee berths.

Standard equipment includes everything you need to get out on the water, including a Simrad VHF radio, two-speaker JL audio system with Bluetooth, stainless steel rod holders, navigation lights, 370-litre fuel tank, a lockable glovebox, transom door with transom steps, glass windscreen, stainless steel bow and side rails, seating and a sports steering wheel.

Options include a lockable sliding cabin door, cabin table, trim tabs, anchor windlass, folding bait station, bait tank plumbing, side door, cockpit carpet, fixed or folding targa top, and a Dunbier trailer.

Haines Signature has also added new palettes of interior upholstery and exterior hull colours to help owners individualise their boats.
