Value 'liner
For family boaters who thought buying a used sportsboat was the only way they could afford to get on the water, Berowra Waters Wholesale (BWW) said to think again when it comes to Bayliner's new 175 Bowrider.
The Australian importer said that for little more than $30,000 family boaters can get all the fun, space, and quality construction they want in an affordable runabout, from a popular US brand, that comes complete with its own trailer.
Built with all the quality features that have made Bayliner one of the best-selling runabouts year after year, the 175 is designed to withstand anything active families can dish out, said BWW.
Tough vinyl upholstery treated with Bayliner's KidClean protective coating, stainless steel hardware, and hose-and-go cleaning, mean owners can spend more time enjoying their boat - not maintaining it, said the importer, while a new curved safety glass windshield and deep freeboard add an extra measure of security, especially for children.
At the helm, the captain has maximum comfort and great visibility ahead and behind, said BWW.
The importer said the ergonomically designed helm puts all gauges and controls in easy reach, and there's also a place to mount the optional waterproof stereo system with plug-and-play compatibility for all digital formats, including iPod and MP3s. And to make sure the sound is crystal clear, Bayliner uses directionally aimed speakers, and a new sealed engine cover with sound insulation to keep the noise down in the cockpit, said BWW.
MERCRUISER STERNDRIVING
A sportsboat at any price wouldn't be worth its salt unless it can accommodate a variety of activities, from skiing and tubing to all-day cruising, and that's why, said BWW, the hull of the new 175 is engineered to deliver exceptional performance on the standard 3.0lt 135hp MerCruiser Alpha One sterndrive while maximising fuel economy.
So, regardless of the sport, said the importer, there's power to spare with max speeds of up to 85kmh - and with an 80lt fuel tank, boaters can take the fun farther and faster than ever.
BWW said the most surprising element of the new 175 Bowrider is the spacious cockpit, courtesy of Bayliner's beam-forward design that pushes the widest point forward to create more useable space.
The seating plan, said the importer, is ideal for enjoying the company of family and friends with two portside sleeper seats that convert to sun lounges and two aft jump seats, while on the transom there's a recessed extendable swim ladder and two seats big enough to stretch out on in the bow.
The cockpit provides plenty of storage for skis and wakeboards in the large under-floor storage compartment, and more storage space beneath the bow seat cushions.
Besides an unbelievable amount of cockpit space, easy maintenance and outstanding performance, BWW said the 175 Bowrider also comes with a limited lifetime structural hull warranty and limited five-year structural deck warranty.
The Bayliner 175 Bowrider will be available later this month and has a recommended retail price of $30,630 drive away, including bimini, bow cover, registration and safety equipment plus trailer.
