The Absolute flagship

Italian luxury sportsyacht builder, Absolute Yachts, says its fleet is moving into a higher bracket.

The company said the latest brainchild of the international team of architects, designers and engineers in its R&D lab - the company's creative department - is its new flagship yacht, the Absolute 70.

Absolute said the vessel is designed to establish new standards in the sector with state-of-the-art materials and design, and considerable focus on liveability.

With three cabins, Absolute said those dedicated to the owner and VIP will be true masterpieces - among the features are lounges with sweeping windows. Also, the other interior spaces have a sophisticated focus on interior design, said the manufacturer, with a skilful mix of the finest woods, varnishes, steel and glass bringing to life perfect settings for all moments of life on board.

The company said the exterior is also a perfect blend of functionality and beauty, with solutions that make for seamless communication between the various areas - this can be seen in the dual passageway in the bridge area and in the electrically operated side doors that give easy and immediate access to the bow directly from the steering area.

Absolute said the greatest attention has been paid to the saloon area, which merges into the cockpit, creating a single area devoted to entertainment. The undisputed star here is the Home Theatre System, which includes a large-format screen that can also be seen from the stern, said the company.

Light is a key aspect of this area, said Absolute, with the retractable roof of the saloon and the second Hard Top above the cockpit opening to bathe the area in light and give a great sense of space.

The bow area is devoted to relaxation, with adjustable backrests on a U-shaped sofa. It blends into the sunpad, creating a generously sized area for sunbathing or enjoying an aperitif from the incorporated refrigerator.

The large sofa in the cockpit - with a bar unit and grill - offers total versatility, said Absolute, while in the stern is a hydraulic platform, a storage bay for the tender, and access to the crew's cabin with room for two.

As in the rest of the range, technology naturally plays a fundamental part and exclusive innovations will be included on board the Absolute 70, said the company.

These, it said, will be the most exciting surprises when the jewel in Absolute Yachts' crown is unveiled.

Normally, this space is devoted to a specifications list on the upcoming model featured, however, Absolute Yachts are keeping this information secret until the official launch, expected next month, and has provided only artists impressions of the vessel and plan-layout diagrams.
