Jeanneau will pass over inboard engines for a triple set of outboard engines for its all-new flagship family cruiser, the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly.
Revealed overnight, the flagship Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly will feature signature hull windows with what Jeanneau claims will be “unprecedented” living spaces on board optimised for relaxing with families.
While images show the boat has a solid transom, a drop-down coaming – what Jeanneau describes as the starboard terrace – in the aft cockpit provides direct access to the water and easy boarding access dockside.
“Forward, the cockpit design is unique, with three sun loungers directly integrated into the deck plan,” it said.
“With this clever layout, unprecedented aboard a 40-foot flybridge powerboat, the result is pure pleasure.”
The Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly’s upper deck will feature a U-shaped lounge and fridge, with the option of adding a galley space. Forward is a flybridge helm station.
Inside, Jeanneau has paid particular attention to making the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly special.
“The quest for ever-more comfort and the desire to create new standards have been absolute priorities in the layout of this new model,” it said.
“Faithful to its design principles, flow of movement between living spaces on board is optimal. On the interior, the galley is entirely open to the aft cockpit, which favours easy movement and communication between living areas.”
The saloon’s design includes a starboard access door beside the helm providing easy access to the side deck and forward cockpit space – handy for owner-operators pulling up alongside a jetty or mooring at the end of a trip out.
Deep windows around the saloon give panoramic views outside and provide a “very bright interior, enhanced by a selection of contemporary materials and fine finishes”.
The interior helm features side-by-side multifunction screens and can come equipped with Yamaha’s Helm Master EX joystick control system and autopilot.
Below decks are three cabins including a forward owner’s cabin in the bow complete with a full ensuite with a separate shower, while both fully aft guest cabins also feature dedicated heads with separate showers.
Powering the new Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly will be three 300hp outboard engines that provide the ability to lift them completely out of the water and wash them down when docked. This helps with minimising maintenance while making them easy to work on dockside compared with an inboard equivalent.
“The boat planes early, even at moderate speeds, to ensure fuel efficiency and maximum comfort on board,” Jeanneau said.
“The power and additional space afforded by the outboard engines are further strengths.”
Options for the new model include a genset, air-conditioning, a Seakeeper gyroscope and a hydraulic gangway to help with boarding and disembarking.
