The Galeon 460 Fly has entered the Australian market featuring a bimini-covered open flybridge up top, and a large fold-out outdoor living space below.
The luxury motor yacht brand is now sold here under the hand of Alexander Marine Australia, with the Galeon 460 Fly one of the first third-generation Polish-built boats to land here alongside the larger, even more lifestyle-oriented Galeon 510 Sky.
The Galeon 460 Fly is a 46-foot planing hull motor yacht built from fibreglass. Powering it are a pair of Volvo Penta D8-600 inboard engines producing 1200hp, and providing thrust via a pair of shaftdrives.
The boat featured here is also equipped with stern and bow thrusters to help with low-speed maneuvering.
Inside, the Galeon 460 Fly will comfortably sleep six people via an amidships full-beam master stateroom with a queen-size bed and ensuite, a VIP stateroom in the bow featuring private access to a bathroom that also doubles as the day head, and a starboard guest cabin with two single beds.
Alexander Marine Australia says Galeon Yachts offers “unrivalled outdoor entertaining features as a result of innovative functionality”.
That includes Galeon’s "Beach Mode", a pair of fold-out aft balconies that vastly increase the amount of outdoor living space while the boat is anchored up or moored. Once the aft cabin windows are electronically stowed, the port side of the Beach Mode space forms a bar on the back of the aft galley, while the starboard side converts an inward-facing two-seater couch into an outward-facing lounge made to drink in the sunsets.
“Inside, the attention to detail is typical of the brand,” Galeon says. “Galeon Yachts interior's offer luxury finishes, including beautiful soft fabrics and stunning mosaic-tiled bathrooms.”
“[The Galeon 460 Fly’s] three-cabin guest accommodation layout will be a welcome feature when overnighting; the amidship master being a haven of spaciousness and luxury.”
Down back, the Galeon 460 Fly features a teak-covered hydraulic swim deck that is strong enough to double as a storage space for a tender or jet ski. A handheld freshwater shower facing the swim platform provides a washdown option.
Take the steps up into the cockpit, and the Galeon 460 Fly features a single-level sedan-style walk-through space right up to the helm.
The Galeon 460 Fly’s galley features an Amica two-burner ceramic stove top with Amica overhead extractor fan, and a 135-litre Isotherm refrigerator – another 49-litre fridge is built into the flybridge.
Up front, a pair of sun lounges frame the skylight for the bow’s stateroom. One of the seats can slide outward to the rail to provide a central walk-through space.
The Galeon’s bridge is fitted with 12-inch Raymarine Axiom touchscreens with inbuilt chartplotter, sounder and digital radar. The boat features LED lighting throughout, including six underwater lights.
Entertainment is provided via a Fusion audio system with DVD player and amplifier, a retracting 40-inch TV in the saloon, and a 32-inch TV in the master cabin.
The Galeon 460 Fly is priced from $1,799,000.
