Sydney-based Nimbus dealership Sports Marine has edged out more than 150 rivals globally to win the Swedish brand’s global dealer of the year award for the second time.
The award, announced last week, is handed out at the brand’s annual dealer conference that brings together the Nimbus team from across 40 different countries. It is the second time that Sports Marine has taken out the award, building on its dealer of the year title claim in 2018.
The award was handed to Sports Marine based on its “exceptional dedication, commitment, and success in promoting and selling Nimbus boats” – the dealership has sold more than 70 of the brand’s boats in Australia and New Zealand over the last six years.
According to Nimbus Group commercial director Jonas Gothberg, Sports Marine stood out as one of the brand’s premier dealerships, “consistently achieving top marks in every aspect of our partnership”.
“Their commitment to customer satisfaction, robust sales performance, well-defined business growth strategy, proactive expansion into new markets, effective marketing initiatives, and, crucially, their steadfast adherence to our payment terms and meticulous management of logistics all contribute to their outstanding performance,” Gothberg said.
Sports Marine marketing manager Jack Ludemann said the Nimbus range fitted in perfectly with the unique waterways across New Zealand and Australia.
“From Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown to Rottnest Island in Western Australia, there is a Nimbus model to suit every market,” Ludemann said.
“The brand's unparalleled quality, attention to detail, and clever design choices have made it a favourite among our customers.”
Nimbus is one of three brands sold by Sports Marine.
The Swedish boat brand specialises in fast, skiff-style day boats featuring a mix of comfort, agility and straight-line speed.
However, it also builds a line of coupe-styled cruisers that are made to traverse the waters at a much slower pace.
