Southbeach Sport 240

Kencraft Marine has released the Southbeach Sport 240, a 7.36m, multi-purpose, family dayboat that will appeal to watersports enthusiasts

Designed and built on the Gold Coast, the Southbeach Sport 240 caters for all aspects of family boating.

Kencraft’s general manager, Ken Blacklock, says market demands are changing.

“Family boat buyers are demanding the luxuries and creature comforts found on considerably more expensive sportscruisers,” he said. “They have been moving towards pontoon-styled craft with large deck areas more suited to entertaining guests. However, pontoon hulls have their limitations.

“Southbeach combines the practicality and versatility of a pontoon boat with the handling and performance of the popular bowrider design.”

Standard features of the 240 include forward and aft boarding ladders, an aft picnic table, a well-equipped galley, freshwater shower, a large sunlounge, two wet lockers, provision for a 45lt icebox, under-seat storage lockers, a rodholder, and a large anchor locker in the bow. The boat even comes with an MP3-compatible CD player with four speakers.

In standard form, the Southbeach Sport 240, complete with trailer, retails for approximately $73,500.
