Smokin' Cigarette

Ducati and Cigarette team up for speed.

What does Ducati have to do with a 2200hp power boat built in Florida? Quite a lot apparently. Well-off Ducati owners can now snaffle themselves a high-powered Cigarette racing boat with matching Ducati livery after the two companies formed an alliance of sorts.

It's not the first pairing with a high profile brand that Ducati has entered into, having previously done deals with car maker Mercedes-Benz AMG, clothing brand Diesel, and a handful of other companies.

The Cigarette Racing 42X Ducati Edition Racing Boat is finished in red and white livery, complete with Ducati branding, and is capable of speeds of more than 190km/h. Gulp…

It will be launched at the Miami International Boat Show and we'll take a wild guess by saying Valentino Rossi will be one of the first to pilot the 42ft machine.

Cigarette Racing boats are widely known to be some of the fastest watercraft available to private buyers, and in years gone by have been put to use by drug cartels ferrying narcotics between South America and Florida.
