Marine engine specialist Power Equipment has added Smartgyro stabilisers to its showroom.
The move means that the engine group can now help customers roll out the latest cutting-edge technology in their boats as they either fit a new driveline or repower a boat.
Smartgyro, which has partnered with engine maker Yanmar, produces a range of stabilisers for boats running from 13 metres up to 29 metres in length.

A gyroscopic stabiliser helps to minimise a boat’s yaw and roll, making it easier to run at speed and improving the onboard experience at rest.
Power Equipment chief executive Luke Foster said the group was pleased to add Smartgyro to its line-up, allowing it to provide and fully service a range of propulsion, on-water power, propeller and stabiliser products.
“With our world-class parts and warehouse infrastructure, along with our highly experienced marine team and vast dealer network, we are well placed to grow the Smartgyro brand throughout Australia and New Zealand,” Foster said.
“The Smartgyro products speak for themselves, and this is another step for us to grow our range of quality brands.
"We are a family-owned company that has been a leader in the marine industry for 35 years and we continue to invest in the business and have long-term stability.”
Smartgyro announced in January that it had expanded its integration to now include Navico Group multifunction displays that include brands such as Lowrance, Simrad and B&G. The move allows skippers to control the Smartgyro stabiliser from the helm, as well as monitor the gyroscope's behaviour in real time.
A selection of Smartgyro’s range of stabilisers will be on display on the Power Equipment stand at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in late May.
