Sleekline Ski Sportz

Topping the range is the Sleekline Ski Sportz - a 5.85m all-round ski, barefoot and wakeboarding boat which features a hand-laid fibreglass hull.

Warren Bowden from Sleekline Ski Boat Sales Wollongong options the Ski Sportz to three stages, starting with the basic hull package, fitted with windscreens, carpet and upholstery. Stage Two is fitted with a carpeted ski locker under bow and all hardware. It retails for $8299.

Stage Three is ready to ski, including trailer and powered by a fully-marinised reconditioned 5.7lt Chevrolet V-eight engine. Standard equipment includes fresh water flusher and bilge pump. It retails for $18,499. A Sleekline Ski Delux model is also available, retailing for $19,999.

Interior features for the standard Stage Three craft include a dual observer seat, helm seat and rear lounge as well as carpeted bow ski locker. A choice of vinyl or velour upholstery is offered and marine grade carpet is fitted standard with the vessel.

The Ski Sportz is registered to carry six adults and equipment.

Optional features include extra gelcoat colours, soft clutch, dual axle trailer, paint-over-galvanised trailer, bimini top, boat cover, centre skipole, wakeboard ski pole, and barefoot and learners' boom.

Sleekline's reconditioned Chev engines are rated at 220hp as standard. Other engine options include a range of MerCruiser inboards.

A past Australian barefoot titles contender, Bowden says the Ski Sportz is an excellent all-round family speedboat that offers a soft, dry ride.

"It produces a fair wash at wakeboard speeds and is smooth inside the wake at its full speed of 80kmh," he says.
