Skiline Spirit 1950i

According to its maker, the Spirit's practical layout and comfortable interior has made it a favourite among family buyers looking for a general purpose skiboat capable of a range of watersports.

The company's founder, Steve Patterson, told Trailer Boat, all sports from skiing or wakeboarding and dayboating, can be enjoyed onboard the 1950i.

The fibreglass craft measures 5.9m x 2.1m and is fitted with a 350ci Chevrolet V-eight which registers a top speed of around 80kmh, he says.

Seating comprises an adjustable driver's seat, dual observer's seat and a rear bench with removable cushion.This lifts up to reveal an easily-accessed storage area.

A jacket stowage area is also fitted underdeck.

Marine carpet is fitted throughout, including in the ski storage area, located forward of the observer's seat.

Set in a sports-style dash, standard Faria marine gauges are displayed in full view of the driver.

At the helm is a low profile tinted windscreen, to offer protection from wind and spray for the driver and observer.

Aiding access for skiers and boarders on and off the boat is an integrated rear boarding platform. Rear deck grabrails are also fitted as standard as is a recessed stainless steel handle at the bow.

The Skiline Spirit 1950i is priced from $22,999 with a conventional marinised (220hp approx) 5.7lt Chev with soft clutch and an Easytow tandem trailer.

A choice of colours and graphics are available. Metal flake finishes are available is an option.

Other accessories include canvas cover, zip-on skirts, bimini top, stereo system and wakeboarding pole. The company also manufactures the smaller Skiline ProMaxi 1850 which in inboard configuration is also fitted standard with a 350 Chev.
