French RIB brand Zodiac has relaunched on the Australian market with an all-new model range via exclusive distributor Sirocco Marine.
Sirocco Marine announced last week it had been appointed the exclusive distributor for Zodiac boats in Australia and from this month has stocked a full range of Zodiac tenders and bigger boats from 4.0 metres to 9.0 metres.
Sirocco has already locked in its 2023 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show display where it hopes to have as many Zodiac models on display as possible, including the popular Medline 6.8, 7.5 and flagship Medline 9.0-metre dayboats, the industry- or rescue boat-focussed Pro 6.5, 5.5, 4.8, and the all-rounder Open 4.8.
Sirocco also is hoping to host the international debut of the Zodiac Medline 5.8, an all-new model joining the RIB range that Sirocco says is “a compact RIB that optimises deck space, ergonomic design and a competitive price”.
Sirocco Marine also has represented Brig RIBs sold in Australia. However, the Kharkiv-based Brig factory, which produced up to 2500 RIBs a year making it the largest maker of rigid inflatable boats worldwide, was bombed early on in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Brig has said it will reopen, but as the war drags on it is yet to restart production.
Sirocco Marine also represents Sirocco Tenders and Williams Performance Tenders for the Australian market.
It has offices based on the Gold Coast and in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
