Simrad announces tie-up with Chris-Craft

Simrad Yachting, a leader in the design and manufacture of world-class marine navigation, autopilot, radar, communications and fishfinding systems, has announced a new relationship with Chris-Craft. Under the terms of the agreement, dual Simrad NSO evo2 multi-touch, glass bridge navigation systems will be offered on the Catalina 34 model of Chris-Craft centre console powerboats.

A revolutionary new design for Chris-Craft, the sleek Catalina 34 is the largest of the Catalina centre console line and will incorporate the latest technology while maintaining the builder’s signature style. Powered by triple Mercury Verado outboards, the boat will include digital switching and Mercury VesselView integration that delivers over 30 engine parameters, as well as view and control of features such as Smart Tow, eco control and cruise control.

As a result of joint efforts between several companies involved in the project, the flat-mount dash of the new Catalina 34 will employ 16-inch, multi-touch Simrad NSO evo2 displays at the helm station to control all systems. The vessel will also include Simrad GoFree wireless connectivity, SonarHub sonar, satellite weather and the RS35 VHF with HS35 remote handheld.
