Shimano Catana Nano XG rods

Latest technology gives improved performance

Shimano says the use of Nano resin technology in rod blank manufacture has resulted in a massive step forward in fishing tackle development.

The high modulus graphite that the Shimano Catana Nano rod blanks use is said to be both lighter and stronger than ever before. This makes for better-casting, more powerful rods, with crisper hook-sets on the bite, claims Shimano.

Fittings are first class as you’d expect from Shimano, with custom-shaped EVA grips and modern butt designs, Sea Guide reel seats for greater bite sensitivity, and zirconium Sea Guides from stripper to tip.

The 12 rods in this all-new range pay homage to Shimano’s long-established Catana series, in that they cover just about every fishing pursuit imaginable -- from inland to estuaries, the surf and offshore. You will find the new Catana Nano rods at your local tackle shop.
