Secondhand Boat Workshop
New guide to buying and repairing a used trailerboat.Marine journalist and new contributor and boat tester at Boatsales and Boatpoint, Jeff Webster has launched a revised, updated and expanded edition of his popular Secondhand Boat Workshop magazine.
Now boasting 132 pages in a burst bound, square-back format, the new 3rd Edition is a full-colour guide to buying and repairing a used trailerboat. The magazine contains a great deal of information for the used-boat buyer, and step-by-step style repair articles for the home handyman looking to restore a classic old boat.
Now available from newsagents across Australia, Secondhand Boat Workshop has several chapters covering boat maintenance and refurbishing --including how to keep alloy corrosion at bay, fitting an outboard pod, repairing a rotted transom or cockpit floor, and replacing underfloor stringers. There’s also a chapter on restoring an old, rundown fibreglass cuddy cabin -- the kind of project that hundreds of people now embark on every year.
