Seawind's Sydney show

Award-winning cats on display

Sailors who love the stability of two hulls will be flocking to Birkenhead Point marina in Sydney this Sunday (September 26) for Seawind Catamarans sailing show.

Three Seawind cats, the 1000XL (pictured), the 1160 and the 1250, will be available for test sails and there will be information seminars for potential buyers to highlight the benefits of the locally built vessels.

Seawind Catamarans won the 2010 Australian Marine Exporter of the Year title.

The seminars, which start at 11am, will explain how many Seawind owners take advantage of income, tax and lifestyle benefits from charter boat ownership in the beautiful Whitsunday islands and other locations.

Details will be available on three new syndicates operating in three new locations -- Sydney harbour, Pittwater and the Whitsundays. Shared ownership in these syndicates starts from just $41,000.

Sailors who just want to plan their next yachting holiday will also be catered for with details available on each of the dozen different locations in Australia and around the world.

Entry to the show, which starts at 10am, is free and a sausage sizzle will be operating throughout the day.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to win a catamaran coaching clinic, valued at more than $1500, from Seawind's delivery skipper Royce Black.
