Seawind announces 1250 Platinum Trans-Pacific

To celebrate 30 years of catamaran design and manufacture, Seawind has announced a new package for its flagship 1250 model.

Called the Platinum Tans-Pacific package, Seawind claims that it now boasts the most comprehensive list of standard features on a production cruising catamaran in the world.

Seawind says that the 1250 Platinum Trans-Pacific, or XPac, is now even more appealing to those looking at serious blue-water cruising or luxury liveaboard lifestyle.

The package includes a washing machine and a 54-litre-per-hour watermaker to feed it, a 2500W inverter and a 100amp battery charger, Harken electric sheet winch, engine controls at both helm stations, sail upgrade to cruising laminate, a full suite of Raymarine electronics, leather upholstery, forward deck and cockpit cushions and underwater transom lights.

According to Seawind spokesman Brent Vaughan, the package is valued at around $50,000. “Added to that, we have dropped the price of the 1250 by $48,000 so the net result is a saving of nearly $100,000,” he said.

Seawind is quoting the price of the Platinum XPac at $649,301 delivered to Sydney.
