Search resumes for missing fishos in tinnie
Life jackets and fuel tank found but men still missingThe search has resumed this morning for two men missing off the coast of Norah Head.
The men, aged 38 and 43, were last seen launching their vessel off Norah Head Boat Ramp about 9.30am on Sunday, June 2, 2013.
About 2pm yesterday, (Tuesday, June 4), National Parks and Wildlife officers identified two life jackets, a fuel tank, and other personal items belonging to the missing men that had washed up at the northern end of Stockton Beach.
The search today will concentrate on an area of coast line between Newcastle and Seal Rocks, utilising police vessels, jet-skis and the PolAir - NSW Police Force Airwing.
Marine Rescue will also have two vessels assisting, and National Parks and Wildlife officers will assist in a land search.
Officers from the Marine Area Command - NSW Police Force who are coordinating the search have asked if any member of the public has located anything washed up on the beach that may be relevant to the missing men, or the missing boat, to contact them on (02) 9320 7499.
