Seabob watercraft launches
Jet-propelled personal watercraft does 20km/h and dives to 40mSeabob, which claims to be the world's fastest and most-advanced electric-powered personal underwater jet, was a crowd-stopper at the recent Sydney International Boat Show.
According to the importers, the personal waterjet gives an entirely new perspective to enjoyment in the water.
You get up to to 20kmh top speed, terrific manoeuvrability (see video below), but also the ability to dive up to 40m below using the handheld water-jet unit.
Easy to use, creating zero emissions and an almost silent operation mode, the compact Seabob personal watercraft is also environmentally friendly and said to be suitable for all abilities and environments.
The importers say the Seabob is a great source of family fun and that you can ride it also solo for high adrenalin, during group exploration trips around the coral reefs, and pretty much get instant laughs zooming around James Bond-style.
The in-water demonstrations at the Sydney boat show marina certainly added to the fun of the marina display. Seabob has been around for a while , but is now available in Australia through exclusive distribution agents, with 24/7 local support, servicing and warranty.
The national importers and agents were offering packages to own, rent or
lease and they are gaining traction with local resort operators.
To buy the unit outright cost from $17,9990 for the F5 model and
from $19,900 for the F5s, which is a sportier number with five
performance settings.
